A Day in the Life

A new day is born:
Horizon cradles Sun;
First breath a morning breeze,
Tears a baby shower.

Now the day is older:
Horizon’s said goodbye;
Sun stands alone,
Radiant in the sky.

Now the day is old:
Horizon beckons home;
Sun’s light dims,
A glowing golden dome.

Now the day is done:
The light, now, is gone;
Sun rests and waits,
Waiting ’til the dawn.
