Heart of Oak

When the rain drops fall
on the oak trees tall,
and run all around
to the roots in the ground
All the earth drinks
When the rain drops fall.

When the acorns fall
from the oak trees tall
and tumble and turn
to nest in a fern
All the earth listens
When the acorns fall.

When the oak trees fall
On the acorns small
and shove them deep
for a good long sleep
All the earth sighs
When the oak trees fall.

When the light beams fall
on the acorns small
and the saplings grow
and the green leaves show
All the earth sings
When the light beams fall.
